The Graveface website redesign started with three main goals; reorganize the content in an intuitive way, bring back artistic elements of Graveface’s aesthetic, and help new and returning users find what they are looking for. The Homepage features a hero section and many call outs to the primary functions of the website. Large hero images are paired with simple text and topped with the bold & punk aesthetic Graveface is chasing. One section of the Homepage that is featured in many other places as well, is the “Shop By Format”. Hand drawn icons represent the different types of media Graveface offers, helping users draw a connection between the icon and type of music.
The product page is redesigned with information hierarchy in mind; encouraging users to either save, buy, or keep shopping. All pages of the redesign are focused on visual communication, using large images and visual cues to help navigate the users. The product page is easy to digest and includes call to actions to keep shopping and exploring.
Overall, the Graveface website redesign connected the company back to their punk, unapologetic, and bold aesthetic. The website now allows new and returning users to shop with ease, explore, interact with the community, and find their niche.
